Week 31 Words from the wise

Soon we will be Juniors. Scary enough as that is, I don't wanna do this. Its going by so fast. If I had to give advice to the upcoming sophomores, I would tell them...
  • Get earphones and block out the drama
  • Keep up on their work, you'll appreciate it later
  • If you are in sports you NEED to keep up with all your classes. Especially 8th hour class and sometimes 7th hours in certain sports like track and softball.
  • Drama is NOT worth it. If someone is making you mad, walk away.
  • Be nice and not annoying to other people. You will get a lot farther, especially with us upperclassmen who are serious with our work
  •  Don't do your work last minute
  • Understand that the grade you get will effect what college you go to and it does matter
  • If you don't want to be in school very long. DO YOUR WORK AND GET OUT OF SCHOOL. Don't fail your class and get held back and be in school longer.
  • Don't argue with the teacher, they are teaching you things for your future success. Respect them because they probably don't wanna teach someone who isn't going to respect what they do.

Sophomore year really isn't that hard if you do what your told and do your work.

Week 30 Lucky me

I have luck for a day...Wishes do come true?!? What would I do? Well considering that I have a track meet today, I would try to get first place in all of the events. I would attempt to leave school and achieve more. I would try to make 2 relationships realize that they are not good for each other and break them up for the better. I would try to make Nico stay for a while longer because its so soon that he was leaving. I would try to ask my parents to take me to hot topic and buy more clothes. I would hope the shipping speed of my items would increase for me to get my packages in the mail already. Maybe my dream boy/ soulmate/ crush is nearby and I would meet him today. I also want ice cream so I would hope that ice cream would come to me. I would also try to finish my piano song that I was trying to do. I would try a remedy that is said to work to clear my face and make my hair grow faster and healthier. I would try all this luck and hope for the best. Hope that wishes do come true.

Week 29 Treasure Hunt

I am on a treasure hunt with some stranger named Nicolas Cage. The final destination is here in Washburn. I guess I'll help him if I have to. I'm just so lazy and the treasure is probably not something worthy but like the first lego built or something. But I help him anyways. After searching for hours we find it in the creepy brick house in town that everyone wants to go into on Adams St. So we don't go into the house during the day because its breaking and entering if someone sees us and its definitely not breaking and entering if I do it at night. So we go during the night and we go through the back of the house. The treasure is in the house somewhere and after looking for 3 hours we were so dumb not to look at the chest in the basement. We both kind of looked at each other scared before we opened it. We opened it and it was legit only about 100 dollars. Well knowing that 100 dollars back then was a lot we split it and called it a day. We wasted a day but I got 50 dollars in the end.

Week 28 Dumb Laws

There are some pretty stupid laws out there. One of the stupidest laws that I've see are one in Joliet, Illinois. "Town fathers, reflecting the pet peeve of hearing their town’s name mispronounced ‘Jolly-ETTE’ when all local folk know it’s pronounced ‘Joe-lee-ETTE’, made pronouncing it Jolly-ette a misdemeanor, punishable by a $5 fine."
Another dumb law is in Peoria, Illinois and it is "Basketball hoops may not be instaled on a driveway."
One more dumb law that I found was in Rock Island, Illinois "Citizens are taxed because it rains on their property."
This is just some of the most stupidest laws that I've found.

Week 27 Favorite Mistakes

I don't think I have a favorite mistake but I guess a beneficial one that I had was when I joined basketball this year. I joined basketball in November and only did it for a month. I played a couple of games then quit because I couldn't stand it anymore. By doing this, I became friends with someone in December that I haven't been friends with for over a year before then. I was able to hangout with this person a lot more and made some great memories that I missed having with them. By quitting basketball I was reunited with a friend.
Another mistake I guess I had was when I stopped being friends with one of my best friends. When this happened, I realized how stupid they actually were and that didn't make me look very good. This person pretty much lost everyone and she wanted everything to be happy when she was the one starting everything. Obviously I'm not very happy that this had happened but I realized it probably was for the best. Everything happens for a reason.
